"Moving on is not so easy…

If moving on was so easy, love would be just a metaphor for flirting.
But the truth is, we can’t. We cannot move on just like that.

I think of you every now and then. I find my substance in thinking about you.
Even when you are not there, for now or for tomorrow or for never…
I still know I will always find my substance in thinking about you

Today is just another day, when I intensely think of you, us and our moments together.
They were perfect like the moon.
Coz I know it was not perfect.
It had holes, and barricades just like any other perfect thing on this earth.
Perfection was only when we were together.
Fights were not hatred. Just ramblings of consequential factoid of a future not existent yet.

Still the ramblings are clear, so vividly clear that I can still feel the pain it used to bring in my heart.
Heart is still a cohesive structure that pumps blood.
Brain still has those gray cells which think of you.
I am still amused how clear every moment of our togetherness is.

Every single moment, every touch, every feel and every drama…
Without you, life is not tough. But its less strong.
Without you, the songs are there, but devoid of music.

An Old Man’s Young Tryst

I won’t run for the money, I won’t run for the gold
It’s not my time honey, my time has grown old
I can bring you morning tea, and I can push your chair
But don’t tell me to fetch the dog; my legs have gone so cold

Yesterday the postman delivered a letter; there it is, carefully rolled
It’s from our eldest son, to open it, I’m not so bold,
Am too weak at heart to read what’s inside, so open it up, will you please?
I fear, the news inside, could be that this house is now sold

The other day, my friend tells me, he’s moving to a new place
They call it foster care (good news) inside it, to live there is no race
You’ll just have to pack our bags now, for we are banished from our home
Come let me take you there, although trembling are they, my hands, but still you can hold

I’m weak but I’ll lead you there, not ‘coz you weak, but ‘coz that’s my way
